Have you ever considered setting goals for your travel experience that you can benefit totally from, even beyond it? If so, a wellness travel experience may be just what you need!
The wellness travel experience is purposeful, meaningful, transformative, and "intentional." Therefore, all trip details on the itinerary need to support achieving your intended outcome.
Maybe the goal is to jump-start a weight-loss program or focus on mindset practices to adopt healthier eating habits. Or it could be that time is needed to de-stress from a hectic work environment. A life-changing event left you feeling that you need time away to heal. Perhaps you are completely burned out and need to reset. Outdoor activities like walking, hiking, bicycling, golfing, or meditation practices can provide an outlet for healing the mind, body, and spirit.
Without a doubt, we can agree we have all had to re-think how to function in our everyday surroundings amid the pandemic. The same applies to travel planning, or even deciding where we would like to go!
On some level, everyone must be intentional about traveling more responsibly and safely and even becoming more thoughtful of making others feel safe being around us in public settings.
Your bucket list ideas may have changed. For example, choosing to travel in less dense places or developing a change in perspective on life may have left you desiring an experience more aligned with spirituality.
Health guru Deepak Chopra, Founder of the wellness-oriented Chopra Foundation, believes that the definition of wellness is changing. Chopra is finding that travelers are now looking for intentional travel experiences that help build mental resiliency. People are also seeking more spiritual experiences and a reconnection to their actual existence. After spending time social distancing, there has been increasing demand for outdoor experiences exploring nature and traveling to spiritual sites like Bali.
A shift in mindset is also influencing traveler's choices. According to Chopra, due to increasing interest in spirituality and reality, people are looking more to "acceptance and opportunity" rather than feelings of "grief and loss."
So, are you open to planning your travel with intention?
